Nicholas W. Saparoff, Chairman, President, and CTO
Nicholas is the Founder of ByteSphere and has 20+ years experience designing software and data communication networks. Prior to ByteSphere, Nicholas has held key engineering positions at several technology companies in the Boston area where he became inspired by the continuing need for simple, but powerful IT monitoring solutions.
Nick's previous work includes Director of Software at Zeo, Inc. where he designed and built Zeo's data-center and web infrastructure, and managed several mobile application teams in order to deliver the world's best "Sleep Monitoring" mobile app. Prior to Zeo, Nick was the lead engineer, designer and creator of Groove Mobile, Inc.'s web-based mobile music distribution platform, allowing millions of users to easily download music to their phones via WAP Browser and SMS. He has also made significant contributions to Concord Communications during his tenure there, where he designed and implemented solutions for managing and monitoring disruptive technologies such as Quality Of Service, Voice over IP (VOIP), network topology, distributed event correlation and others. Nicholas holds a Bachelor's degree from Harvard College in the Physical Sciences.
Joe Gately, Executive Advisor
Joe brings over 20 years of experience in the information technology market to ByteSphere, specifically with respect to strategic partnerships, channel development and sales strategy. Joe most recently comes from BMC as their VP GM Service Assurance where he managed a $280M business unit. Prior to BMC Joe has also been an established leader in the IT industry and held numerous VP and C-level management positions at companies like Mazu, Gryphon, GiantLoop, Linx Communications, and EMC.
Frank Selldorff, Advisor
Frank became an advisor of Bytesphere in 2011. Frank is the Co-Founder of Momentum Equity Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in companies with the potential to be leaders in information technology. Prior to Momentum, Frank was founder and co-CEO of Reach Internet Incubator, whose portfolio of companies includes success stories BrandMuscle, BlackSmith Applications, BrainShark and netNumina (later acquired by Keane). In 1992, Frank founded Breakaway Solutions, a full-service Internet provider, and served as its chairman, president and CEO through 1998. Under his direction, the company was recognized as one of the nation's fastest-growing technology companies, ranking No. 73 on the 1998 Inc. 500 and on Deloitte and Touche's Fast 50/500 from 1996-1998.
Tom Selldorff, Advisor
Tom is a key advisor of Bytesphere, He is mostly retired, but based on his long experience in the management and marketing of technical products , he provides useful guidance and suggestions to our company, both from a marketing and financial perspective. He has held senior management positions in several companies, both in the United States and in Europe, mainly dealing with industrial products and services. Tom earned a BS in Chemical Engineering, and an MBA from the Sloan School at MIT. He is closely related to Frank Selldorff, and in his spare time enjoys sailing the family boat on Southern New England waters.
